THOUGHT - THE RAIN
Scripture Reading - Jeremiah 10:12-13
12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures. KJV
The power of “thought” is remarkable because it is transferable across every age, gender and nationality. When using the term “rain” one can quickly imagine the small drops of water falling from the sky. As thankful Christians we can appreciate all the good benefits of rain because we depend upon it for sustenance. Some people immediately think of God when rain comes to mind because they understand without rain all living creatures would certainly perish. It is not that we need rain everyday but a prolong abstinence from rain would be detrimental to our health. So it is with the Kingdom of God when it comes to “the Rain of Heaven” we are really speaking of the “thoughts” of God descending upon the earth. Just like the rain waters the rich minerals of the earth to bring forth fruit. We also receive “the rain of God’s thoughts” to enrich our spiritual life causing much growth and righteous fruit. The gradual repetition of similar “thoughts” is one example of “the rain of God”. Quite often when writing a sermon “the rain of God” will descend up the mind of a minister to give him/her a good message. This rain is not limited to the servants of God behind the pulpit but is also a common occurrence with all mankind. Angela has received “the rain of heaven” in various things like how to train up children, prepare meals and design conversations with her friends. This rain, just like the natural rain, can come any time during the night or day but seems to be more common in the daytime while performing our daily course. This rain has helped many an engineer figure out a viable solution to a complex problem. It is not subject to education or IQ (Intelligence Quotient) it’s predominate prerequisite seems only to be humility. We (ihlcc) have known all people ranging from the dear sweet elderly grandma to a little child receive a gradual continuation of “linking thoughts” when they were open to receive it. The Rain of Heaven is freely given to whosoever will but that same whosoever must be willing (humble, open, meek) to use it for good. Just like the natural rain was created to bring forth blessing to many natural men, when you sense this “continuation of thoughts” built around a common theme please take the extra time to write these “thoughts” down. Yes, our admonition to all blessed children of God, all over the world, is to exert the extra effort to capture all the “thoughts” of that specific rain to take full advantage of what the Lord is saying. We believe the better channeling (gathering) of the rain the better the harvest. History, has proven that all those who constantly water their garden possess a full supply of beautiful (luscious) fruit to feed others. So humbly receive the early and latter “rain of God’s thoughts” because the world may be waiting to see the wonderful picture of Jesus painted by the bush your heart influenced by the strokes of God’s Love.
